The ASSOCIATE AUCTIONEER relieves the Auctioneer in long auctions .
The RINGMEN stand in front of the crowd and helps the auctioneer cite and encourage auction bids .
The REGISTRATION CLERK [S ] sign people up before the auction .
The RECORDING CLERK records prices of items auctioned off .
The CASHIER checks out all purchases , bills and collects the money .
The RUNNER [S ] are those helpers who move merchandise as it is sold .
The SECURITY personnel act as Stand-by help protecting property to be sold ; also , they assist the public in previewing smaller items to be auctioned .
